Our Mission

Put simply, our mission is to make both musical and medical history.

We’re a charity dedicated to making a difference to people suffering from cancer, both in the UK and around the world. To raise funds we bring together like minded artists to create one off concerts, featuring living legends and new talent alike to perform rarely seen sets and unique collaborations.

The money raised then goes towards cancer research and support groups, and raising awareness of the need for early detection of the disease.

The charity was set up in 2005 by ex Smiths bassist Andy Rourke and Nova Rehman after Nova's father and sister were diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, both have since lost their battles with the disease.

So far we've staged 4 historical concerts at the MEN Arena. We've seen one off performances from the likes of Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, New Order, Snow Patrol, Ian Brown, "James" & The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, The Happy Mondays, The Enemy, The Fratelli's and have instigated partial Smiths and Stone Roses reunions.

But we're not going to stop there. With our 2010 programme of events we're aiming to get past the £1 million mark and make even more of a difference.
